Lacquered or clearcoated surfaces are easier to maintain
For the short haul most definitely.
But in the long run lacquered and clearcoated surfaces are a devil of a job to repolish and can get quite ugly.
In the marine environment lacquer or clearcoat is a must on anything but stainless. However in an antique or museum environment clear coats and lacquers are problematic. With our museum and antique range of products repolishing can be kept down to once every 5 years, and even then it is a very easy process that involves minimal material removal.
